ABNER D.
BAKER,born to Samuel and Lydia Baker when 15 years of
age moved with his parents to a farm a few miles east of
Swanton, Ohio. |
His inventions helped to get the village economy motivated,
and to bring in work to the men of the area.
Swanton has also been home to many other industries, such as
dairies and machinist shops over the years.
Swanton grew economically from the industries which were
begun by A D Baker and the population grew as well.
The rest, as they say, is history.
